Becky is
currently on maternity leave (through March 2003) from
her part-time work at Merck. She
will probably go back to work on her previous schedule:
Monday, Wednesday and 1/2 day on Friday at the
same position. Her job is lab supervisor in vaccine quality control
but since she's only part-time, she gets mostly project work
and not much direct supervision of the technicians.
I'm still working on new products but mostly doing computer programming.
The TargetSpeed practice targets for the sport of fencing are selling slowly but I recently signed a deal with
FencePBT and they are doing a great job selling my targets, stands and t-shirts as my Exclusive Reseller!
Becky and I really enjoy our part-time work, part-time parenting arrangement.
It gives us both time to watch the kids grow up (so quickly!) and still get
"adult" time to engage our minds. According to
some,
we're at the forefront of an alternative parenting movement sweeping America, but it
seems pretty normal to us.
We are all involved at Branch Community
Church in Harleysville, PA. The church is growing by leaps and bounds
(3,000 total per weekend over six services). We just finished a huge
new building and will be changing our name to BranchCreek Community Church
in 2003. Becky and I help lead the Young Marrieds' Ministry and the
kids are all part of the Kingdom Kids program. Becky is also involved
in the weekly Tuesday morning Women's Ministry program. In addition to
my YMM administrative role, I spend time helping on the Information
Technology team. We're currently working to get our office computers
and web site to a much higher level of quality and automation.
