Eric: Still working as an embedded software engineer at a company that makes automated factory vehicles. His work is making sure the computer on the self-guided forklifts and clamp trucks is working properly. This involves embedded software and some electronics. Also, TargetSpeed is continuing to sell steadily (but slowly) and takes up a few weekends every couple of months to keep up with sales. Aside from work, Eric continues to help with the youth ministry at church and loves being with the family.
Becky: Busy full-time at home with all the laundry, cooking, cleaning and errands that make a six-member household run smoothly. We're still line-drying all our clothes (to save money, to be “green” and because it makes the clothes last longer) so that's even more time spent on an already busy schedule, but we get that nice sense of doing good for the environment. She helps out at school for something nearly every week and really enjoys being involved. Becky also helps lead a women’s Bible study at church.
Dan: Keeping himself busy with orchestra (string bass), band and jazz band (alto saxophone), and church middle school worship band (drums). He's in sixth grade this year and at the middle school now. He also helps with tech (audio and video) during various services at our church. He's a fun young guy and rapidly approaching adolescence so lots of transitions are in store for all of us.
Lauren: Running strong in fifth grade this year, learning viola and flute at school and singing in the chorus. And on the weekends at church, she is involved with the Compassion Corner (food pantry) ministry by helping stock shelves and sort/organize coupons. She joined the Souderton Braves cheerleading squad this year and when she's not practicing her cheerleading at home, she'll usually be found reading or spending time with a logic puzzle book.
Natalie: Loves to read, run, jump, play games and build Legos. She's in second grade this year and has lots of friends at school and church. She is athletic and likes to shoot hoops and play soccer. This summer she was in an organized soccer league for the first time and also started helping in the Compassion Corner with Lauren. Bible reading is a favorite pastime as well as hanging out with Sarah. The two of them are great friends and play very well together.
Sarah: Busy, busy Sarah is always doing something. There's never a dull moment and always something to do when she's around. She loves to help out around the house and often makes craft projects in her spare time. She plays for hours at the Lego table and spends a lot of time reading. She is enjoying first grade very much and loves being in full-day school now. Following in her older siblings' footsteps, she is friendly, articulate, responsible and sweet.
Brownie Fudge Oreo Steffy: Our tabby cat (not pictured), with us since New Years’ Day in 2007, came in from the outside as a stray for our first (and only) family pet. Overall, it’s been a fun learning experience for all of us and based on the little bit we know about cats, he seems to be pretty well-mannered and friendly.
