From the Year 2018
The once-a-year happenings of Eric, Becky, Dan, Lauren, Natalie and Sarah Steffy

January 2018
January: Natalie (15), Sarah (13), Eric, Becky, Dan (19), Lauren (17)

Here's a quick look at our 2018:
  • Eric is at the same job doing engineering and software development for an AGV company
  • Becky continues to embrace her role as stay-at-home mom and teenage girl taxi service
  • Dan is in his second year at Charleston Southern University and home for Christmas break
  • Lauren graduated from high school and started at Messiah College in August
  • Natalie is in a busy sophomore year at high school enjoying choir, band and classes
  • Sarah is a freshman this year at high school (ending 8 years of Steffys at middle school)

Dan changed his major at CSU from Criminal Justice to Christian Studies, Graphic Design, and Theater (major, minor, minor or minor, major, minor... not sure yet). He's involved in many activities including the Outdoor Adventure Club and playing bass (sometimes drums) at Faith Church, along with helping to lead a youth worship band at Summit Church. Dan also enjoys photography, videography, and living in Charleston, SC.

Lauren recently headed off to Messiah College for her freshman year. She started as a Nutrition and Dietetics major but has already switched to Accounting. It was a toss-up when she signed up for classes so she took some of each, quickly gravitating towards Accounting. Lauren has gotten plugged in with friends, her job at the dining hall, and at Dillsburg BIC church.

Natalie started driving this year. In Pennsylvania, you need six months and 65 hours of driving with your permit before you can get your license, so she's about a third of the way now... and loves it! This year at school is tougher than last year but she's enjoying the challenge and even started helping as a peer tutor. Natalie is in band (clarinet) and chorus again this year along with an independent study in French III to be able to fit it into her schedule.

Sarah started her first year of high school. She continues to enjoy her schoolwork, sings in the choir and plays trumpet in the band. Her science fair project this year is on the Spotted Lanternfly, which is BIG news in our area of Pennsylvania, and we had lots of them to collect for the experiment. Sarah and Natalie are also volunteering as co-assistant directors for the middle school musical this year (having fun being on the "other side" of the production).
